I’m trying to get in touch with the work going on out there in the world of DH, since I am but a lowly intro student and have not produced much myself. The link is a project I read on The Journal of Digital…[Read more]
The project seems very interesting! No need to think of yourself as a lowly intro student. We all began somewhere, and I still consider myself to be a beginner. Its great that you’re looking into other projects. If you could create anything, what would it be?
Hello everyone, I am a fourth year English major student at UBCO and I had the opportunity of taking digital humanities classes last and this semester. I totally loved them. The whole class digitized a Victorian novel, Jane Eyre into a website for the first year students. It was really cool to learn a new programming language and making a…[Read more]
Hey Matt, the project was divided into groups of four or five people. Each group focused on each section such as my group researched and coded the introduction section while other group did the visualization and so on. However, each individual did his/her own chapter. Ah yes, @clkcrompton has been of help to many people working on DH projects at UBC-O. The class project sounds like an exciting and rewarding experience, Aman. Do you think you will continue to work on digital projects in the future?
For sure. I love to transfer information online and since I am going to the education program next year, It will be helpful for me as a teacher to have these skills. And yes @clkcrompton is always great and so supportive to her students.
Good afternoon, friends! I’m happy to see that some people are already sharing their projects.

At the moment, its not up yet because of copyright concerns, but if you’re interested in the newsletter, you can check out Frank Davey’s edited collection TISH No.…[Read more]
Good Afternoon everyone! While I am relatively new to DH, I have working with digital medial for several years. Right now, I’m working on a documentary about Japanese Canadians’ experiences from the Second World War, and how geography affected these experiences. The focus of this documentary is on a small group of Japanese Canadians from the…[Read more]
I’m finishing up a short film right now. I’m planning on having it done before the end of this month. If all goes as planned, I’ll post it to youtube. I don’t think many people are aware of the fact that Japanese Canadians did serve for the allies, largely because Japanese Canadians were not allowed officially allowed to serve for the Canadian…[Read more]
